A member asked:

I take .25mg of clonazepam in the evening, 15-20 minutes later i have strong, pounding pulse that is regular but slower, bp drop. concern or not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: Clonazepam is very slowly absorbed, and it generally takes 1-2 hours to get a blood level, so it's hard to know what is causing symptoms 15-20 minutes after taking it. If your primary care doctor is prescribing it, explain your symptoms to him/her. If it is being prescribed by a psychiatrist or mental health professional, then i would see my pcp if these symptoms are regular and troublesome.
