Daily oral dose?: Depends on how often injections are given and when serum levels are performed in relationship to last injection. An oral dose of 100-250 mcg/day is for treatment off pernicious anemia, a condition with lack of a protein called intrinsic factor. The protein, which is made in the stomach, is necessary for vitamin B12 absorption.Atrophic gastritis, crohn's disease, alcohol consumption can reduce b12.
