If Pain: Is keeping you from your activities then get it removed. Might want MRI to get exact location because usually won't show on x-ray. Best of luck.

If it hurts....: You should have it removed. I removed a piece of glass that had been in my patient's foot for 32 years. There are many ways to "image" the area to see the glass. It may be able to be removed in a doctor's office with just a few stitches. See a podiatrist for details.
