A member asked:

Estrogen pessary and progesterone cream, can both be used together to alleviate menopausal dryness and lack of libido? or is it dangerous combination?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

D/w doctor: Vaginal estrogen cream is usually the treatment of choice for women who have only vaginal dryness, if other symptoms occur then systemic hormones with estrogen and progesterone- ( only if uterus is still intact)- are used. A pessary is a device insterted in the vaginal to hold up a bladder or tissue that has fallen down and it does not have any hormones. Women with multiple childbirths may need.
