Either: It is normal to feel cramping as if you may start your period during early pregnancy. Pain from an ectopic pregnancy is usually one side or the other and can be constant or come and go. The pain will usually worsen over time. Their are other causes of pelvic pain during pregnancy but any pain that is persistent or getting worse needs to be evaluated to be sure that it is not an ectopic preg.
