A member asked:

Just confirmed pregnancy. dull ache on my right lower abdomen and pulling on right hip and back. not constant. not no bleed. could this be ectopic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Right abd pain: The ovary in early pregnancy produces hormones to support the pregnancy until the placenta is fully formed. This makes the ovary very sensitive on the side which released the egg. By itself it is not abnormal, but if the pain continues and you start to have bleeding, it could be an ectopic. Get a serum quantitative HCG and an ultrasound to be certain from your provider.
