Depends: It really depends on the level of hearing loss and the specifics of your audiogram. If you are profoundly deaf, you may be a candidate for a cochlear implant. Some people who can't benefit from cochlear implants, can get a brainstem implant. You need to see a neurotolologist, a sub-specialist of the ENT field.
