Soft tissue sprain: Shoulder-arm syndrome is chronic (> three months) pain. Absent acute injury, usually postural problem or repetitive stress. Diagnosis requires in-depth hand-on evaluation for tissue loci of pain & signs & symptoms evoked during real time shoulder function; usually more fruitful than imaging studies; doppler useful; nerve test + only if nerve dead. Tendonitis, bursitis, & tos are common causes.
