Zorvirax: Zovirax (acyclovir) ointment or cream can be applied to any outbreaks during pregnancy topically .Systemic(oral) medications are best not used in pregnancy at this time. If you have an outbreak past 35 weeks(lesions on the vulva) please tell your OB so that a potential vaginal delivery does not cause a transmission of the virus to the infant.
