IVF Safe: Ivf is a very safe procedure but all procedures have risks. For brevity, biggest worries include hyperstimulation syndrome (ohss), ectopic pregnancy, multiple pregnancy, complicated pregnancy (probably from being infertile), bleeding (uncommon), discomfort for 24-48 hrs. Controversial is risk of baby health, cancer, icsi and genetics (imprinting disorders). Look up terms as no room to expand here.

Very few: Ivf is a safe procedure but even minor procedures have risks. The risks from the actual procedure include bleeding from the ovary or damage to organs and vessels near by the ovaries. However there are indirect risks from the fertility drugs including hyperstimulation and multiple pregnancy not directly related to the procedure itself.
