Lisinopril cough?: Lisinopril (l) can certainly cause a cough (c) and there are other causes of a cough that are not related to its use. To find out, stop l for 2 days. If the c disappears, it was caused by it. If not, re-start the l and consider other causes of c such as reflux esophagitis, or sinusitis. Speak to your doctor about your c and get her advice. All c's are not due to l.

It may be...: One of the possible side effects of Lisinopril is dry mouth. It is likely worse at night, because you are not taking anything my mouth (no food, no water) which slows down salivary output and makes you cough. Acetaminophen and Lovastatin can also cause dry mouth! as a diabetic the health of your teeth are a concern. Decay and disease are increased in people who have medically induced dry mouth.
