I have tonsilitus and on penicillin the pain has gone but i feel like something is stuck on my tonsill. and it stings when i drink juice?

Sore throat: This depends upon the seriousness of the tonsillitis and the length of the treatment. The infection damages cells of the tonsils and they will be sore and touchy until they heal. They will be sensitive to acid foods like juice and "hot" foods as well.
