Different diuretics : Lasix (l) and Bumex (b) are diuretics that work at the loop of henle n the kidney and are more portent that hctz (hydrochlorothiazide). All diuretics will may you lose potassium, sodium and magnesium. B and l are stronger than hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) and can be used in patients with chronic kidney disease where hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) will be ineffective. All diuretics will increase your urine output. B and l do not have any effect on glucose levels.
