Rat Lungworm: Angiostrongylus cantonensis is a parasitic nematode (roundworm) which causes angiostrongyliasis, the most common cause of eosinophilic meningitis in southeast asia and the pacific basin. The nematode commonly resides in the pulmonary arteries of rats, giving it the nickname the rat lungworm. Snails not slugs are the primary intermediate hosts, where larvae develop until they are infective.

Hawaii and Louisiana: Hawaii and louisiana have had this show up. Not sure of the chances. I would say not a high risk. But, the diseases it can cause can be serious. Get checked by a doctor, if you are worried.
