A member asked:

Can a simple urine analysis, urine culture or semen analysis report detects hiv infections/bacteria or stds?

Not unless tested: For the particular agent. Routine urine and semen examinations are not designed to detect HIV or other stds. Urine culture will pick up bacterial infections but those are not usually transmitted sexually.

Std: All std diseases including hiv, can be easily diagnosed by blood test or a urethral swab. Urine or semen analysis are not recommended to screen for std's.
