See the pediatrician: Fever is the body's response to an illness. When a child's temperature changes suddenly, about 3% under age 5 will have a seizure. Luckily, only about 30% of children who have had a febrile seizure will ever have another one. That means 70% never will again. Keep him comfortable and see his doctor if the fever continues.
