I was given a shot of rocephin (ceftriaxone) yesterday around 4:00 and started amoxicillin today at 8:00 am and again at 8:00 pm. when should my throat feel better?

Sore Throat: This is difficult to answer without knowing the results of a throat culture if your doctor did one. If you have a strep infection that has good sensitivity to Rocephin (ceftriaxone) and amoxicillin, i would expect that your throat should start to feel better in 2-3 days or so. However, it is important to complete the entire course of the amoxicillin, even if you're feeling better.
