Preventing stones: In general you can't always prevent stones. The things that have been associated with prevention is a high fluid intake, limit animal products to less than 8 oz daily, limit sodium to 2-4 g daily, limit oxalate containing foods, limit high sugar and fat content, avoid excessive vitamin c, daily exercise, maintain your ideal bmi, high vegetable fiber and calcium greater than 1000 daily.
