Tetnus: It is normal - yes. It is not normal to have a fever that gets high and won't come down.

Which shot?: You can receive tetanus toxoid, usually in combo with diphtheria and pertussis vaccines and this can cause some of these symptoms although a little unusual in an adult. Or you can receive tetanus antibodies for an acute treatment option and this can certainly produce all the symptoms listed here. Discuss with the doctor who gave it.
