Risky: Further pregnancy in the face of previous pulmonary embolism is risky as pregnancy itself makes the blood more likely to clot. Most physicians would advise against but if it happens, your doctor will probably switch you to lovenox (enoxaparin). Warfarin use is considered contraindicated in pregnancy due to potential effects on the unborn child.
