Multiple causes: Eye floaters are normal, however if you are noticing blurry spots in your vision, you should have an ophthalmologist examine your eyes to determine the cause. The other symptoms (depending on what you mean by "zoning out") could be caused by an ophthalmic migraine, but they are not related to the floaters and should be reported to your internist.
