Baby moving: A 2 month old should be moving all four limbs actively and regularly. Sometimes, if they baby's legs are not moving it can be normal; however, you should regularly survey the baby's movements. You should also note if the baby's legs are pink. If you ever feel the baby is not moving their legs, the legs become bluish or cold to touch, call your pediatrician. Wishing your family the best.

Maybe: An infant might stiffen his/her legs if angry or upset, and this would be normal. However, stiff legs could also, rarely, be a sign of seizures or a muscle or nerve disorder. Talk to your baby's health care provider about this question.

Hard to describe: A baby's leg motions and leg stiffness are hard to describe in words. Very few normal-looking babies have neurological problems, so that's reassuring. The only way to tell if a baby has abnormal leg movements is for the baby to do it when the doctor is watching, at the clinic (such as at the 2 week, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 4 month check-ups) or on video (make a home movie).
