How do they test for kidney infections, would it come up in a urine sample? got tested for a uti.. seem to be having pain in kidney area in back

Urine sample: Kidney infection is extension of bladder infections--both uti. Kidney is more concerning, can get very sick, fast. ? Treated for uti. Could be stone, so if fever, chills, increased pain or worsens, needs to be seen.
