How to reduce uric acid in blood quickly.

Why bother?: There are a few reasons that i can think of for lowering serum uric acid: to treat gout and uric acid kidney stones. When some types of cancer are treated, there is a complication called tumor lysis syndrome. In that setting medication is given to prevent a sudden elevation of uric acid. However i cannot think of a reason to quickly lower serum uric acid.
