Psychiatrist: You could very easily start with your primary medical doctor. They can check for common medical problems (like thyroid disease) that can affect mood. Also, they can provide help and resources to manage stress and mood. But ultimately, the specialists for mood disorders will be the psychiatrist. Good luck.
