Probably normal: Missed periods or irregular periods occur in about 15% of normal women in any given cycle, usually due to a problem with hormone production that month or lack of ovulation. This usually regulates out in 2-3 cycles.

Many things: Many things can cause a delayed period, including: weight loss or gain, extreme stressors in your life, changes in light/dark cycles or changes in the weather, thyroid, prolactin or other hormonal disorders, an ovarian cyst, and lastly, yes a pregnancy.
