Common: Nausea is a common side effect of the strong hormones present in birth control pills. A peptic ulcer may also contribute since ulcers are caused by a specific infection of the stomach lining. Clearing up that infection may help or not. In women with n/v with bcp, NuvaRing or an iud may prevent that side effect.
