Maybe: Some patients experience changes in mood (dysphoria, sadness) when using hormonal drugs. To be sure, discontinue oc with your doctor's approval. If your mood normalizes, it was probably the oc. Then challenge with another cycle, if mood worsens again, it was the oc. If mood doesn't change with discontinuation, depression was probably unrelated.
