Ankle instability: If you have twisted your ankle several times, and severely, your ligaments may not heal properly. This leads to instable ankle which rolls out often. Need to follow up with a podiatrist for evaluation. Ankle supports along with high top shoes can help. In some severe cases surgical repair may be required.

Ankle roll = sprain: Swelling and pain are the first signs of an ankle sprain. It is more common to sprain or roll the outside part of the ankle rather than inside, back, or front. Swelling generally occurs around the area of sprain and bruising may be present too. See your doctor for a full evaluation for severity and treatment. I hope this helps, if so, please vote or follow me. Thanks and good luck!

Ankle rolls: Usually is from a sprain. If this happens frequently you might have chronic lateral ankle instability. Get it checked if this is the case.

ankle instability: Rolling out of the ankle can be due to many things. Weakness of the ankle muscles/tendons can allow this. Ankle ligament s that are torn or stretched out can allow ths to happen as well. Deformities of the foot can lead to a chronic strain on the structures and mechanism that prevent the rolling out. Regardless you should see a doc and be evaluated. Bracing, pt or surgery are among the options.
