Possible: Similar to dating a pregnancy by the last menstrual period, a second trimester ultrasound has a two week error when figuring out how far pregnant a woman is. The best dating parameter is a vaginal ultrasound between 10-12 weeks. The due date based on 10-12 weeks ultrasound is accurate to within plus/minus three days. A 24 week ultrasound is accurate plus/minus two weeks.
