IgG mature antibody: Yes, but surprising. If you have no other blood test history then we cannot really tell you that an exposure eight weeks is the one that infected you. Igg antibodies are the mature antibodies and usually take more time.

Seroconversion time: It is possible to have a positive hsv igg 8 weeks after exposure if infection occurs. A positive blood test can occur between 10 days to 4 months. Use of antiviral medication can delay the appearance of antibodies.
