Get treated: There's no way to tell. Ultimately, acne remits as you get older. I was able to stop taking maintenance tetracycline around age 50. "oily skin" correlates only moderately with whether you have acne. If your current topical treatment for acne isn't working, get with a physician who's able to treat you effectively. Good luck.
