Normal concerns: What you feel is normal. You wouldn't be normal if you didn't have some of these concerns. I find 99% of my patients are surprised afterwards how well it went. The dentist is the one who does all the work. Discuss your concerns prior to the procedure which should help you feel more relaxed. Ask for "sweet air" if available and bring iphone\mp3 player & headphones with your favorite music.

Me too: No one likes having dental procedures done. Very normal to be apprehensive. More than anything, it's fear of the unknown. But you oral surgeon has done this literally thousands of times. Call the office ahead of time. Express your concerns. Ask for suggestions. It also alerts them that you may require just a little extra chair time to assure your complete comfort.
