Cyst occur naturally: Cysts occur in the ovary when an egg is preparing to be released. They usually go away after ovulation. Occasionally they will persist and enlarge, sometimes causing pain during various stages of the menstrual cycle. Is your cyst 4.3 inches, centimeters or millimeters? The first two would indicate a very large cyst. The latter would be typical sized.
