What a shock!: What a shock! Some women do get pregnant on birth control pills. The chance with typical use is about 3% per year. So for every 100 women taking them, three might get pregnant each year. Its a higher number than most people realize but a difficult thing to go through. See your doc for an ultrasound ASAP to find out how far along you are. Pills have not been associated with birth defects.

Nothing 100%: Birth control pills are not 100% effective, actually nothing is. I dont know which pill you were using but if you are pregnant and you used the pills correctly, you are one of the small percentage of people that got pregnant on the pill.
