A member asked:

Can xanex affect equilibrium or cause nystagmus? seen doc had normal brain ct scan getting an eeg soon.shud i go to er and not wait?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Quit worrying: Nystagmus is a common side effect of benzodiazepines, of which xanax (alprazolam) is one. Changes in equilibrium can come from too much xanax (alprazolam) or combining it with another drug.
