Speak to surgeon: I would not recommend doing anything that might get your blood pressure raised for at least 2 weeks after surgery. Your blood pressure may rise if you experience pain. This is particularly true after tonsillectomy, which has a propensity to bleed and is quite painful for adults.

Wait: I would wait until you have healed more to get a tattoo. Consider not getting the tattoo as it is permanent and can not be perfectly removed ever! i tell my children to pick an outfit and think about wearing it forever. Styles change, but tattoos can not.
