If u go into pre term labour at 35wks, how is it determined if the baby is fine to breathe on its own?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: After delivery, physicians & nurses will monitor the infants breathing rate, blood oxygen & co2 content to see if the baby is transitioning to a stable pattern of independent breathing. If the rate is too high (> 60+) and the oxygen level does not come up to the expected levels, extra help will be needed.
