A member asked:

Is a simple hiv antibody blood test enough for virgins not involved in drugs n blood transfusion to confirm absence of hiv?not had any sex untill now.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: If you have not had sex, have not injected drugs, have not received blood transfusions, and have not been injected with any thing by some one other than a doctor, you do not need an HIV test. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
