Is there really a big risk to removing an iud at home?

IUD removal: There is no risk in removing an iud. To try and remove it at home may be difficult, unless you have the right instruments. You need a vaginal speculum and something to grasp the strings. Probably best left to someone in your doctor's office to remove it.
