Probably not: Your urine will smell differently depending on what you are eating, medications and supplements. Sometimes an infection will change the odor and if it's very concentrated it can smell more. Usually it's not a problem with your kidneys.

Could be infection: Urine in presence of a UTI can smelly "fishy" or foul. Urine odor after eating asparagus is quite characteristic & certainly strange first time u smell it. Worth getting urinalysis test if there is any chance of uti.
