Collect fluid: Try and collect a sample of the actual discharge into a sterile container such as a baby food jar or sterile specimen bottle you can get from a local pharmacy and have that tested for both it is as well as what it's growing. If they have not done an ultrasound of the prostrate they might consider that as an option.
