Avoid dairy!: As we get older, we are at increased risk of lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance is our inabiity to digest lactose sugars. Therefore, when we ingest foods such as ice cream, cheese, and milk, we may become bloated, have abdominal pain, and gas. Avoiding foods containing lactose usually reduces these symptoms. If symptoms persist, see your physician to ensure nothing more serious.
