Same as any opiate: The long-term physical effects are predominantly constipation, edema, potential reduction of testosterone and estrogen, and (in higher doses) potential for heart arrhythmias. The biggest problem is physical dependency and addiction, and withdrawal when you can't get your drug. Equally problematic are the legal issues, including crime to obtain drug, getting arrested, prison, family breakup etc.
