A member asked:

What are the treatments for someone having brain cancer really painful?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, usually not: Cancer treatments are rarely, if ever , painful. Certainly radiotherapy and chemotherapy are not painful. Surgery is commonly used but like any other surgery, it is done under anesthesia and may cause pain in the head for a day or two but even surgery for brain cancer is not all that invasive or big to cause much pain.
