Heavy duty Rx: Acne on the trunk almost always requires systemic treatment. A simple antibiotic like tetracycline 500 2x/day plus topical benzoyl peroxide may be enough, or you might finally decide to make a trial of isotretinoin. The scars cannot be removed by any means, but a dermatologist can make them less conspicuous using a laser, surgery, dermabrasion, and/or a filler.
