If they took blood: Pregnancy tests are done using a blood or urine sample. If they collected either, then they would be able to do a pregnancy test. An IV is used to give fluids &/or medications.

No : A pregnancy test comes in two forms. A urine pregnancy test or a blood hormone test. An IV does not check for pregnancy.
