Varies: That is variable depending on why you are skipping periods. For some women skipping periods is just a hormonal issue that is fixed easily. For other women it is a sign that the ovaries are slowing down and getting closer to menopause. So if you have a change in your periods it is very important to get evaluated sooner rather than later to get an explanation.
