A member asked:

What can i do about flatulence? i'm 73.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Two main causes: The two main causes to flatulence is 1) air swallowed during eating, and 2) gas formed in the intestine. For #1, no talking during eating, small bites and chew your food well. For #2, avoidance of foods that tend to form gas (beans, certain vegetables, etc.) and avoidance of milk & milk sugars (cheese, ice cream, etc.) in those who are lactose intolerant. Talk with your doctor for more specifics.
