Not life threatening: If you are physically healthy and have no underlying heart disease and do not abuse drugs, then you probably don't need to go to a hospital when you have a panic attack. If you are in treatment and have medications to relieve panic attacks as needed, it would be good to take them. If your anxiety symptoms do not subside, then you can go to an er to get help for the panic attack.
